Surgery Department No. 3: Urology, Nephrology, Gynecology
About the Department:
The department, combining urology, gynecology, and nephrology, provides both surgical and conservative treatment for diseases of the urinary and reproductive systems. Urology covers the kidneys, ureters, bladder, male reproductive organs, and the female urinary system; nephrology focuses on therapeutic kidney care; and gynecology addresses female reproductive health, often as part of general surgical care. The department employs endoscopic, laparoscopic, and vaginal treatment techniques, including the use of mesh implants.
One of the department’s key areas is the treatment of urolithiasis (urinary stones). Modern laser lithotripsy techniques are actively used. The laser allows precise fragmentation of stones in the kidneys, ureters, and bladder without damaging surrounding tissues. Procedures are minimally invasive, often performed on an outpatient basis, with minimal pain and rapid recovery. The use of flexible endoscopes and state-of-the-art lasers enables successful removal of even complex or hard-to-reach stones, preserving kidney function and preventing recurrence.
Individualized care, a team of experienced specialists, and expert-class diagnostic equipment allow accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
