Large-Scale Infrastructure Modernization Begins at the National Hospital
The National Hospital of the Medical Center of the Administrative Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan has launched a large-scale modernization project that предусматривает the phased construction of new medical buildings and a comprehensive upgrade of its infrastructure.
The need for the project arose from the results of technical assessments conducted on buildings constructed between the 1950s and 1970s. The inspections revealed a high degree of physical deterioration in several facilities, as well as their non-compliance with modern requirements for safety, seismic resilience, and the organization of medical care.
The modernization will be carried out in phases without interrupting the hospital’s operations. The transfer of specialized departments to other medical institutions is not planned, the entire workforce will be retained, and medical services for patients will continue to be provided as usual.
The first phase of construction began in 2026 and is scheduled for completion in 2028. Full implementation of the project is planned by 2029.
Upon completion of the modernization, the National Hospital will become a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary medical center featuring upgraded operating rooms, high-tech medical equipment, comfortable patient wards, and digital systems for managing healthcare processes.
“Modernizing the hospital is a necessary step for the further development of healthcare services and the implementation of modern treatment standards,” said Askhat Bralov, Director of the National Hospital of the Medical Center of the Administrative Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
