Cardiology Department

   About the Department:

   The Cardiology Department provides specialized diagnostic and treatment services. The department is staffed by a highly professional team of cardiologists with advanced expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

   The department provides medical care to patients with various cardiovascular conditions, primarily myocardial infarction, unstable angina, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, and pulmonary embolism, as well as preventive care in accordance with international JCI quality standards.

   The department delivers professional intensive care therapy to patients with emergency conditions such as:

• Cardiovascular emergencies (unstable angina, acute myocardial infarction, life-threatening paroxysmal arrhythmias and cardiac conduction disorders);
• Complicated ischemic heart disease;
• Complicated hypertensive crisis;
• Central nervous system emergencies (acute cerebrovascular accidents);
• Emergency conditions in surgery (cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, urology, gynecology, oncology, etc.);
• Internal medicine emergencies.

   Patients receive treatment until their condition stabilizes, after which they are transferred to the appropriate specialized departments of the hospital.

   All patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are under continuous video surveillance and monitoring of vital body functions using multifunctional cardiac monitors.

   The department utilizes hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) — a treatment method in which the patient breathes oxygen under increased pressure in a special hyperbaric chamber. The purpose of the procedure is to increase the amount of oxygen delivered to body tissues, which may promote wound healing, fight infections, and improve overall condition.

   Indications for hyperbaric oxygen therapy may include:

• Decompression sickness;
• Carbon monoxide poisoning;
• Severe infections;
• Non-healing wounds;
• Radiation injuries;
• Diabetes mellitus;
• etc.

   Equipment:

   Diagnostic and treatment procedures are performed using PREMIUM-class equipment from leading Japanese, German, American, and Korean manufacturers.

   Laboratory testing and diagnostics are carried out in the largest multidisciplinary laboratory in the Republic of Kazakhstan and Central Asia, which is a leader in the accuracy and speed of test results.
