About the Department

The Extracorporeal Hemocorrection Department specializes in cleansing the patient’s blood outside the body using a “artificial kidney” device (hemodialysis). This procedure is primarily intended for individuals with renal insufficiency when the kidneys are unable to adequately remove toxins and excess fluid from the blood.

The artificial kidney (hemodialysis) procedure is suitable for patients with:

• Chronic kidney disease (CKD);

• Acute kidney failure;

• Certain types of poisoning;

• Certain autoimmune disorders.
