How to help yourself in the heat?

These days in all cities of Kazakhstan there is a record heat.   • Avoid sun exposure during the hottest hours (approximately 11:00 to 17:00).
  • Maintain a water balance, but patients with heart failure should follow the volume of fluid recommended by their doctor.

  • Limit physical activity during the hot hours of the day, and move your walks to the morning or evening.

  • Do not drink alcohol, as it increases fluid loss and can cause rhythm disturbances.
  • Eat easily, giving preference to vegetables, fruits and low-fat foods.
  • Do not leave elderly patients or people with heart failure unattended during periods of extreme heat.
