Modern traumatology: new methods of joint treatment are being introduced at the National Hospital

World Traumatologist Day is celebrated annually on May 20. In connection with this date, the specialists of the National Hospital recalled the importance of preventing joint diseases and timely seeking medical help.

Modern traumatology in recent years has significantly expanded the possibilities of diagnosing and treating diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Today, doctors successfully carry out high-tech joint replacement operations, returning quality of life and motor activity to patients.
The National Hospital is actively introducing modern methods of treatment and surgical technologies. One of the latest achievements of the Department of Traumatology was the development of its own method of SVF therapy of the hip joints for necrosis.

The traumatology department remains one of the most popular areas of the hospital. Every month, specialists perform more than 40 operations, a significant part of which is knee replacement. Already in the summer, part of the operations is planned to be performed using robotic technologies.
Experts note that joint diseases today are increasingly diagnosed not only in older patients, but also in people of working age. The reasons are a sedentary lifestyle, excessive physical activity, excess weight, as well as the lack of regular monitoring of the state of the musculoskeletal system. Doctors emphasize that timely diagnosis allows you to identify many diseases in the early stages and significantly increases the effectiveness of treatment.
As the traumatologist Askhat Kabdeshov noted, uneven physical activity and insufficient attention to prevention are becoming one of the main causes of joint diseases.

“Knee joints are particularly sensitive to excessive and unbalanced loads. A sedentary lifestyle in combination with sharp physical activity, intense training and prolonged stress without preparation can negatively affect the condition of the joints,” the specialist noted.

The doctor emphasized that when pain syndrome, discomfort or movement restrictions appear, it is necessary to consult specialists in a timely manner and not self-medicate.

According to Askhat Kabdeshov, traumatology will continue to develop actively in the coming years. Among the promising areas are the improvement of prosthetics technologies, the use of individual implants made using 3D technologies, as well as the further introduction of robotic surgery.

“Modern technologies significantly expand the possibilities of medicine, but the key role is still played by the professionalism of the doctor, clinical thinking and practical experience,” he stressed.
