Master Class on Oncosurgery in Turkestan

From May 19 to 21, 2026, a master class on performing Lewis and Garlock procedures was held at the Turkestan Regional Clinical Hospital.

The event was attended by Abzalbek Yestay Shaikhibekuly, Head of the Surgical Department of the National Hospital.

As part of the master class, high-tech surgical interventions were performed on patients diagnosed with esophageal carcinoma and cardioesophageal cancer.

The operations were carried out by a joint team of surgeons and specialists from the Turkestan Regional Clinical Hospital and the National Hospital. The event served as a platform for sharing experience and implementing modern approaches in oncological surgery.
