Currently, there are many diseases in the field of urology. We spoke on this topic with the urologist of the National Hospital Temirlan Orazgaliev.
What is frequent disease in the field of urology?
In modern urological practice, we often encounter urolithiasis and urinary tract infections. Urolithiasis is very common among Almaty residents. The main reason is the content of drinking water and improper nutrition. The number of arrivals for age-related androgenic insufficiency and erectile dysfunction, the so-called “diseases of civilization,” is also increasing. Due to chronic stress and inactivity, these diseases are significantly “rejuvenated.”
We often hear about diseases such as kidney cyst, kidney stones, sand, kidney prolapse and malignant neoplasms. Stop at the reasons for this.
The reason for this is the combination of not one, but several factors:
- Stone and sand: metabolic disorders, low water (drinking tea or sugary drinks instead of water) and climatic features.
- Cysts: This is most often due to a genetic predisposition or previously existing inflammatory processes.
- Kidney decline (nephroptosis): Rapid weight loss, strenuous exercise, or congenital weakness of connective tissue.
- Tumours: environmental, smoking and lack of annual preventive check-up play a big role here. The kidney is a “silent” organism, so tumors are often detected by chance.
Exacerbation of prostatitis among men
When did prostatitis cease to be a disease of only the elderly? The main cause of the outbreak of this disease is congestion. We spend most of our time in offices or in traffic jams. However, it is important to understand that most often the “chronic pelvic disease syndrome” can be hidden under the mask of prostatitis. This is not due to infection, but to lifestyle, stress and vascular conditions. Recently, the growth of statistics is also facilitated by the fact that men have become careful about their health and, without aggravating the situation, more often turn to a doctor.
What diseases are more common in women?
Female urology is primarily a matter of cystitis (acute and recurrent) and urinary incontinence. Unfortunately, in our society, the topic of urine intolerance is still considered shameful, so many women continue to endure it for years, considering it normal in age. This is a misunderstanding. We treat such patients according to modern European protocols. It is possible to fully restore their quality of life using effective conservative and hardware methods.
What advice would you give for the prevention of kidney disease, urine?
The weather in Almaty is changeable: hot, cold, rain or snow – all this is a big test for the body. Therefore, my main tips:
- Dress for the weather: Avoid touching the cold, which is the main cause of inflammatory processes.
- Follow a drinking regimen: Drink enough clean water all day.
- Physical activity: Constant movement and walking. It is very important to prevent stagnation (stagnation) of blood in the pelvic organs.
- Regular check-up: Once a year, be sure to have a kidney ultrasound and a urinalysis and blood test. These simple steps will help identify the disease earlier. Your health is in your hands. Do not forget the special principle of doctors: “the best operation is an operation that was not carried out thanks to preventive measures.”
