– Today I spent my last duty before going on a well-deserved rest. Honestly, it is very difficult for me to part with my colleagues, – said Gulzina Akimbekova, a nurse in the operating room of the cardiovascular department of the National Hospital.
For 44 years of work in the field of medicine, she began her career immediately after leaving school at the Central Clinical Hospital No. 12, in the department of emergency surgery. In 1982-1985 she studied at a medical college in Almaty, where she received the specialty of a nurse. With the opening of the city clinical hospital No. 7, she was invited to the operating department as a leading specialist. Since 1993 he has been working at the National Hospital. In parallel with her work in 2002-2004, she received an academic bachelor’s degree in nursing.
– Over the years there have been many memorable moments. I will never forget how, together with Doctor of Medical Sciences N. Kazybaev and Professor S. Bayzhanov, she participated in the first laparoscopic operation at the National Hospital. I also had a chance to learn a lot from such specialists as academician M. Aliyev, professor T. Sultanaliev, E. Aidarkhanuly. If we talk about the continuity of generations, it was these mentors who made a significant contribution to my professional development, “said G. Turalykyzy.
Modern medicine is developing rapidly, and the introduction of new technologies requires high qualifications of specialists. G. Turalykyzy mastered the methods of conducting cardiovascular and endovascular interventions using X-ray control. Today, together with colleagues D. Makhanov, S. Toleukhanuly, E. Salavatuly, she saved many lives.
In the field of arrhythmology, she worked closely with doctors of the highest category R. Rekvava and G. Maratkyzy.
Many years of conscientious work of Gulzina Akimbekova was marked with a badge for the 30th anniversary of the Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The specialist, who shared his experience with young employees and made a significant contribution to the development of the profession, was conducted by the team with great respect.
– Plans to devote more time to family and grandchildren. I want to travel with friends, visit various regions of the country, enjoy nature and historical places. I also plan trips abroad to expand my horizons. The staff of the National Hospital will forever remain in my heart, – said G. Turalykyzy.
