As part of the Days of the Medical Center of the UDP of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Pavlodar, specialists of the National Hospital of the Medical Center of the UDP of the Republic of Kazakhstan held educational lectures for secondary and junior medical personnel of hospitals in Pavlodar region.
The events were held on June 29 and 30, 2026 in an online format. The broadcast was organized for three medical organizations of the region: Pavlodar Regional Hospital named after G. Sultanov, Pavlodar City Hospital No. 1 and Pavlodar Regional Cardiology Center.
On June 29, senior nurse of the somatic department of the National Hospital Aigerim Yerkimbayeva gave a presentation on "The role of a nurse in creating a safe environment for the patient".
The speaker spoke about the important role of a nurse in preventing medical errors, timely identification of risks, safe patient care, maintaining medical records, preventing infections, and proper use of medicines.
International patient safety goals, issues of accurate patient identification, effective communication between medical professionals, surgical safety and infection control were also considered.
On June 30, senior nurse of the Cardiology Department of the National Hospital, senior nurse of the highest qualification category Gulmira Uralbayeva gave a lecture on "Pressure sores in numbers: epidemiology, risks and consequences".
She spoke about the main causes of pressure sores, risk factors, stages of their development and prevention measures. Special attention was paid to the practical experience of the National Hospital in the application of the Braden scale, the management of nursing forms of observation, the care of high-risk patients and the use of internal quality control tools.
In total, 238 representatives of secondary and junior medical personnel took part in two lectures.
Such educational lectures help healthcare professionals improve their professional skills, share their experience, and apply modern approaches to their daily practice. Ultimately, this helps to strengthen the patient safety culture and makes medical care better, safer and more attentive to each patient.
