A 95-year-old Almaty resident, a worker of the home front, Kalken Valikeyev, always led an active lifestyle, engaged in sports. He still does exercises, despite his advanced age. He sincerely thanks the doctors of the National Hospital, who regularly visit and help maintain his health.
On the eve of the holiday, representatives of the National Hospital visited the veteran of the labor front, presented him with a basket of groceries. Kalken Valikeyev was very happy to see the guests, he says that positive emotions are especially important at his age!
I congratulate all Kazakhstanis on Victory Day! I wish a peaceful sky above your heads. Those who ensured victory on the front lines and at home will forever remain in people’s memory, says the veteran. The workers of the home front experienced difficult conditions in which they built various facilities, engaged in agriculture, transported goods and gave their last to the front. Victory came at too high a price: hunger, exhausting work, loss of loved ones, health, and the opportunity to study. But our generation, strong in spirit, withstood, survived.
Kalken Valikeyev considers physical labor, a balanced diet – thanks to his caring wife, everything on time, according to the regime – the secret of his longevity. And he is also not a supporter of conflicts, he always tried to resolve any disputes peacefully.
