During the Great Patriotic War, he was one of the elderly people who, despite the deterioration of vision, actively lived in old age. Born on October 21, 1924 in the Kostanay region, the parents of Abdrakhman Sharipovich moved to Shymkent. After graduating from high school, he entered the railway school, and when the war began, he volunteered for the front. Due to the lack of special education, signalists are sent to school. After graduation, the young warrior, who received the military rank of “corporal,” goes to the front. The activities of military signalmen are fraught with great risk. They connected the wires that provide control of the battlefield under exploding shells. They also contain their communication lines to obtain the necessary information from the enemy. During one of these operations, Abdrakhman Sharipovich was seriously wounded. He was treated for six months in a military hospital, and after recovery he again went to the front to provide communications. “I heard the news of Victory in Bucharest. There was no limit to joy… ” – recalls the front-line soldier. For courage, Abdrakhman Sharipovich was awarded the orders of the “Red Star,” “Great Patriotic War 1 degree.”
After the war, he returned to his homeland and studied at the Kazakh State University. Turning to science, the citizen defended his thesis, after which he received a doctorate. Abdrakhman Sharipovich is the author of two books. Pupils brought up by a veteran won high titles, glorified the teacher. The elderly man, who retired in 2007, lived a wonderful life, not satisfied with the joy of his grandchildren, whom he saw with three children. Greeting the staff of the national hospital, veteran thanked them and conveyed his best wishes.
