A delegation of doctors from South Korea, representatives of the leading Soon Chun Hyang University (Soon Chun Hyang) clinic network, visited the National Hospital. Every month, about 800 patients from various countries, including over 300 Kazakhstani patients, come to Soon Chun Hyang clinics for treatment.
The doctors at the National Hospital were very pleased to welcome the guests from Pucchon; this is not the first visit of Korean specialists to Almaty. In turn, Kazakhstani doctors have also undertaken internships in South Korea, and the head of the National Hospital’s endoscopy department, Galiya Kalizhanova, is an honorary professor at Soon Chun Hyang Clinic, which is ranked among the top 10 best Korean medical institutions.
Professor Im Su Bin, neurosurgeon, Professor Kim Hen Chel, and other members of the delegation inspected the hospital’s departments and gave a lecture to doctors on spinal neurosurgery.
Close integration with Soon Chun Hyang University and clinics has been ongoing for ten years. Kazakhstani specialists are welcomed in Korea with open hearts, and everything is explained and demonstrated in detail. Two years ago, the National Hospital and the university signed a memorandum of cooperation, says Estai Abzalbek, a senior oncologist and head of the oncology department.
Experience shows that it’s not worthwhile to constantly stew in your own juice; there are developments by Korean doctors and specialists from other countries. The clinic is one of the best in South Korea, and its doctors have accumulated a vast amount of knowledge and experience. By drawing on this, we will also synchronize with Korean doctors. It is very important to use this potential for our upgrading and development.
