Recently, in Kazakhstan, nurses were allowed to receive patients and give them an initial diagnosis. The delegation of some of the functions of a doctor to a nurse is being introduced in order to ease the burden on doctors and apply skills to nurses who have graduated. However, some experienced sisters of mercy have already performed many tasks of doctors before, the nurse of the paid polyclinic of the National Hospital Elvira Izbakieva is one of them. In the hospital, she has been working as a notary for a couple of years, since in addition to nursing education she also received a higher legal education, but then returned:
– In the notary’s office, everything is the same, boring and sometimes against conscience, you change cadastral numbers, collect signatures and papers, I did not have the human warmth that I received from patients. I returned and do not regret anything, but every day I feel necessary, irreplaceable, I see gratitude in the eyes of people who helped to cope with the pain.
Now Elvira Izbakieva is receiving a second higher education in order not only to be an assistant to surgeons and urologists, but also to do part of their work.
