On the International Day of Laughter, which is celebrated in the world on April 1, Vyacheslav Proshin, a neuropathologist at the evening polyclinic of the National Hospital of the Medical Center of the Presidential Administration, spoke about the benefits of pleasant emotions.

   Laughter helps relieve nervous tension, painful symptoms, improves blood circulation, tightens the oval of the face, and in general, makes a person happier – these are the results of many years of research by scientists. And positive people get sick less, and if they get sick, they get better faster, the doctors noticed this.

   To help his patients – to understand the cause of the disease, to successfully cope with it, Vyacheslav Proshin has to be both a psychologist and a psychiatrist: every second comes with stress, pain, the cause of which is often associated not only with lifestyle, but also emotions.

   -When a patient comes, I talk to him, must hear and understand him. Indeed, in addition to problems with the nervous system, there are always two or three concomitant diseases nearby. But in the first place it is usually stress. It needs to be pulled out, shown to the patient, explained. Changing habits, diet, exercise, working with emotions -80-90 percent of recovery. Each disease corresponds to a certain emotion. So, with cervical osteochondrosis, a person reacts poorly to changes, it is difficult to adapt to the team, close people. Such people need to learn to accept everything that happens, be less demanding, expect less and live more today.

   – How important are positive emotions?

   “They work wonders. Different religions say that you need to rejoice in everything that the Almighty gives. And less anxious about what is not. Especially for women. Constant mental stress causes a rush of blood to the head, strains the neck and shoulder area, increases irritation, insomnia. I always say – laugh more, do not bother with trifles, love yourself. All neuroses, psychoses arise when a person sets high levels in life that do not correspond to his level of energy, mental, physical abilities. Therefore, I recommend going with the flow, measuring the possibilities with your desires.

   Pleasant emotions, liberation from problems with the help of the same breathing exercises help to relax the muscles, tightness goes away, and with them pain.
