The reason why I chose cardiology is that in the 2nd year I first got acquainted with the cardiovascular system in anatomy classes and became interested in studying this human body. The structure of the heart, its functions are very specific. From that moment on, it was decided which direction to choose in the future, “says Aidana Sarsengalievna, a doctor of cardiology and functional diagnostics at the Lepesov National Hospital. She graduated from the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.J. Asfendiyarov, studied at the residency of the National Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Medicine.
Currently, the mortality rate from diseases of the cardiovascular system is growing both in the world and in Kazakhstan. According to WHO experts, the number of people suffering from this disease will continue to grow and rejuvenate. Among them are arterial hypertension, coronary heart disease, heart failure, etc. Heart disease is hereditary. If parents have heart disease, then children may have a 25-50% chance. The remaining 50% depends on external factors. For example: lifestyle, unhealthy diet, bad habits. During the service, we try to explain these external factors to people in more detail. The main principle as a doctor is to sincerely pay attention to patients. Explain in detail what precautions need to be taken, not paying attention to their diseases, and what their results will be. I think after such an attitude, treatment will give good results. Having a profession that helps people, I have many dreams and goals. The most important thing is to be a specialist who is needed by sick people, – says Aidana Sarsengalievna.
