Today in Kazakhstan for the first time celebrate the Day of the employee of the sanitary and epidemiological service. It was established by order of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population to celebrate those who guard public health and prevent epidemics. According to the international classification of diseases, almost 200 viruses have been recorded in the world. Infectious disease specialists and epidemiologists are required to know about all of them in order to protect the health of citizens.
– We are workers of invisible labor, they remember epidemiologists when an outbreak or a pandemic occurs, it’s nice that now we also have our own professional holiday, – said Sabira Suyenbaeva, head of the epidemiological control department of our hospital, – The world is now global and open and it is almost impossible to protect against this, as the situation with Covid has shown. Therefore, we must learn to live with a pathogenic halo, and not fight. Viruses get used to even the strongest drugs, and they cease to be effective. Therefore, the most important thing for everyone is to strengthen your immunity, lead a healthy lifestyle and not self-medicate.
