Food poisoning

   Food poisoning is an acute disease caused by microbes and toxins or after consuming harmful substances and damaged food. This was announced by the doctor of the emergency department of the National Hospital Yerzhan Bolatbekovich Uteshov, who has a 95-year history of food poisoning.

   Classification: Microbial: toxic infections – diseases caused by live microbes.

   Toxicosis: poisoning by toxins formed in food.

   Mycotoxicosis: fungal toxin poisoning.

   Not microbial: chemical, poisoning with mushrooms, berries and plants. Animal toxins – says doctor Uteshov E.B. The specialist also explained the causes and signs of food poisoning.

   The most common causes of poisoning are:

   Use of disturbed products, violation of terms and conditions of storage, heat treatment, violation of sanitary standards in the dining room, contamination of products by rodents, insects, cooking by sick people.

   First aid for food poisoning:

   Gastric lavage with a weak solution of warm water or potassium permanganate. You should take sorbents such as activated charcoal, enterosgel, smek, drink plenty of liquid, like a solution of rehydrone or pure water. It is necessary to hospitalize the victim and monitor his condition, if the temperature rises, abrasions or dehydration, go to an ambulance, says doctor Yerzhan Bolatbekovich.
