Doctors of the National Hospital congratulated the veteran of the Patriotic War Viktor Karpovich Izyumnikov on the upcoming New Year. Having recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, the aksakal was happy to welcome guests. Viktor Karpovich retired as Manager of Affairs of the Council of Ministers. He began his career as an agronomist in the Kostanay region. During the war years, as part of the 17th Guards Airborne Brigade, he jumped from an airplane 25 times. He traveled to Hungary, Austria, Czechoslovakia and met victory on the Vltava bridge.
After the war he returned to his homeland and graduated from an agricultural college in Uralsk. Because he always dreamed of the profession of an agronomist. Then he entered the Timiryazev Moscow Academy and became a laureate of the Stalin scholarship. After working for two years as a teacher in the technical school where he studied, after calling on young people to go to listen, the family went with an agronomist to the Burlinsky district.
Viktor Karpovich was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, II degree, For Military Merit and many jubilee badges.
