A person’s resistance to various infectious diseases and viruses depends on his immunity. Sometimes people often get sick from his weakness. The weakness of the immune system is due to several reasons. We asked about this cardiologist of the National Hospital Zhazira Zhakypbaevna Akshalova.
– These include high levels of stress, poor diet, low physical activity, chronic diseases (for example: diabetes mellitus, diseases of the cardiovascular system, bronchial asthma), viral infections, genetic factors and age characteristics (for example: elderly people, children). As it increases, the immune system can physically weaken, which reduces the body’s ability to resist infections.
– External factors affecting immunity: change in weather, a sharp drop in temperature, the spread of viral and bacterial infections and environmental pollution. Most often, immunity decreases in the autumn and winter periods, since at this time people are often in closed spaces, that is, due to unfavorable weather conditions, they do not walk in the fresh air, sit in offices or on a nest, which creates favorable conditions for the spread of infections.
To increase immunity, the doctor recommends the following.
- Eating a healthy and balanced diet: adding vegetables, fruits, proteins and healthy fats;
- Physical activity: performing moderate-intensity exercises for at least 150 minutes a week, 10 thousand steps on foot and visiting the pool;
- The ability to also manage stress: apply meditation, yoga or breathing exercises;
- Proper sleep: getting used to sleeping 7-9 hours a day;
- Vaccination: timely receipt of the necessary vaccines.
