Today in Geneva, as part of the WSIS + 20 High-Level Event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), a key UN initiative to promote global digital cooperation, the winners of the prestigious international WSIS Prizes 2025 were announced. The first place in its nomination was also won by the project “Situation and Analytical Complex” (SAC), presented by ITC. The development of the Kazakh team was recognized as the best in the category “The role of governments and all stakeholders in promoting ICT for development.”
“This victory is an international recognition of our country’s digital progress. Kazakhstan demonstrates high technological potential and is able not only to keep up with global trends, but also to set them, offering significant digital solutions at the global level, “said Dauren Nuraliev, head of the Engineering and Technical Center of the Presidential Administration.
Recall that this year about 1000 projects from different countries of the world took part in the competition.
Particular attention was paid to Kazakhstan at the ceremony: a team from Kazakhstan opened an award session. The award was presented to the winners by the Head of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Dorin Bogdan-Martin in the presence of representatives of member states and international organizations.
