The program of free drug provision has been operating in Kazakhstan since 2005 and allows patients with certain diseases to receive medicines and medical devices free of charge.
Free provision is regulated by order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. Қ R DSM-75 dated August 5, 2021, approving the list of ALOs – a list of drugs and products provided on an outpatient basis at the expense of HOBMP and compulsory health insurance.

Who can count on free medicines? All citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan have the right to provide medicines and medical devices within the framework of the HOBMP and compulsory health insurance at the outpatient level according to the list of ALO.
How to get:
To receive free medicines and medical devices at the outpatient level, the patient must be attached to a clinic, be on dynamic observation, and his data must be entered into the Register of the attached population. Prescriptions for free medicines are issued by district doctors and specialized specialists of medical organizations.
