The founder of the clinic “TURAN&TURAN HEALTH” Dr. Kayhan Turan graduated from the medical faculty of Istanbul University. He continued his professional education at the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Medical Faculty of Uludag University and graduated from the Department of Orthopedic Surgery of the Medical School of Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Kayhan Turan is Turkey’s first orthopedic surgeon to perform robotic knee and hip prosthetic surgery.
To date, more than 3 000 robotic knee and hip arthroplasties have been performed by an experienced specialist.
Member of the Turkish Medical Association, the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, the North American Arthroscopic Association, the International Joint Congress of Reconstruction and the Turkish Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology. In 2022, the Turan & Turan Health clinic was accredited as an international training center. Thus, he began to share his knowledge and experience with colleagues from abroad.
– Kayhan Turan and I performed 5 operations with the help of a robot assistant, which give an error of up to 0.1 cm when cutting. I not only gained experience, improved my operating technique, but also gained a lot of experience to bring patients to a state where they recover faster after the postoperative period.
Such visits are especially important for the exchange of experience with the best specialists of a particular country, – said Askhat Kabdeshevich. During the visit, the members of the delegation visited a modernly equipped clinic, got acquainted with the progress of work, medical equipment, and the quality of patient care.
