In this regard, Bibinur Rakhmetova, a pulmonologist of the 1st therapeutic department of the National Hospital, spoke about the first signs of lung diseases and ways to prevent them.
The specialist, who has worked in the field of medicine for 11 years, has 10 years of experience as a pulmonologist. Since 2022 he has been working at the National Hospital.
According to the doctor, according to the latest data from the World Health Organization, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ranks fourth among the causes of death in the world. About 3.5 million people die from this disease every year. In addition, it was revealed that the disease ranks eighth in the global list of causes leading to poor health and disability.
According to the specialist, the main causes of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease are tobacco smoking, harmful production factors, combustion products and adverse environmental conditions.
The pulmonologist also noted the first signs of asthma, bronchitis and pneumonia.
“Asthma is most often seen through the larynx in the chest, chest compression, dry cough. Symptoms are especially worse at night or in the morning. Exposure to cold air, dust, pungent odor, or allergies can cause irritation. Sometimes the signs are lowered and then observed again.
Bronchitis is more likely to develop after a cold or acute respiratory infections. Initially, there is a sore throat, weakness and fever. Then a dry cough begins, after 2-3 days phlegm is released and nettle may appear in the chest.
With pneumonia, there is fever, chills and weakness. The patient has a cough with phlegm, chest pain during breathing, shortness of breath and rapid breathing. In some cases, the oxygen content in the blood may decrease,” said Bibinur Rakhmetova.
According to the doctor, with prolonged attacks of cough, cough, suffocation, shortness of breath in the chest cavity or sputum discharge, it is imperative to consult a pulmonologist.
Experts warn about the importance of timely detection of the first signs of respiratory diseases, regardless of health.
